Minnesota Dumplings

Minnesota Dumplings
This recipe is a bit vague, but this is how it has been passed down to us.
  • 4 eggs
  • flour
  • salt
  1. Put water and salt in a large kettle.
  2. Cover and put on high heat.
  3. Break eggs into a bowl with salt
  4. Beat
  5. Add flour until thick
  6. Drop by spoonfuls into boiling water
  7. Brown 3 T. butter
  8. Boil dumplings until done, drain and mix together with browned butter.
  9. It can be eaten with horseradish or just as is with butter.
